Dear Neighbor,
Thank you for visiting my website. It is an honor to serve as your elected representative on the San Bernardino City Council.
As your Councilman, I am focused on listening to local residents and being responsive to addressing neighborhood concerns. I meet regularly with our 3rd Ward neighborhood associations and senior citizen communities. Recently, I helped to get a needed crosswalk installed for the residents of Colony Park.
I’m also walking door-to-door in order to stay in close touch with the people of the 3rd Ward.
Making our community safer is my highest priority. That’s why I brought a new Police substation to the Inland Center Mall to bring police resources closer to the people and better serve our 3rd Ward neighborhoods. In addition, I’ve worked to restore the 100 police officer positions that San Bernardino lost during the bankruptcy and am pleased to report that the city is making good progress in putting more officers on the street.
Homelessness is a serious problem in many areas of San Bernardino. To address this issue, I partnered with our Assemblyman James Ramos to expand the mental health and drug addiction treatment resources that are available to combat homelessness.
As a Medical Social Worker, I’m dedicated to getting homeless people off the streets.
I ask for your continued support and encouragement to make our community a better place for everyone.
Sincerely,
Juan Figueroa
City Councilman, 3rd Ward
